Prescriptions

PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM MONDAY 4th JULY, THE TIMES TO CONTACT OUR MEDICINES MANAGEMENT TEAM WILL CHANGE TO 11.00hrs - 13.00hrs

Repeat medications take 3 working days to process (please allow extra time over bank holidays).

  • This may seem like a long time but please remember that our Medicines Management Team receive thousands of medication requests every week. Please also ensure that you have adequate supplies of medication to cover holiday periods.

  • For safety reasons, we are not able to process medication requests urgently (with the exception of asthma inhalers, insulin, epilepsy medications and GTN).

  • All other requests will be processed within 3 working days. This includes painkillers and anti-depressants. Please ensure you leave enough time for your request to be processed and consider ordering 7 days in advance. This is especially important around bank holidays.

  • If you have a non-clinical query about your prescription; want to bring the quantities of tablets in-line, need alternative prescriptions to those no longer available, are housebound, or having difficulties accessing your medication at the Pharmacy, then please call our Medicines Management team between 11am - 1pm through our main number.
