Welcome to Downend Health Group
We value your health and wellbeing
from Monday 4th April 2022 the following changes will come into effect:

The front doors will open and there will no requirement to use the intercom function

There will no longer be a need for a one-way system, and you can enter and exit the building through the main entrance

The majority of appointments will now open on the day
-
We have employed more GP’s and Urgent Care clinical staff, to increasing the number of appointments available and will continue to recruit where possible

You will have the option to choose a face to face or telephone appointment
-
We will support our GPs in line with national guidance on safe working practices
-
We ask that you continue to follow NHS guidance and help protect our staff by wearing masks or facial coverings, and respect social distancing rules whilst in the practice

for people who live in
Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire.
Our staff will be available 24/7 to provide advice, guidance and support over the phone to anyone who may be worried about their own or someone else's mental health. If you or your loved one feels unsafe, at risk or unable to cope without professional advice, our dedicated staff, will respond to your enquiries and arrange for trained mental health advisors and clinicians to help enable you to manage your difficulties


DHG, in partnership with Sirona, currently offer this service as a, single session, video consult in the first instance.
The getUBetter app is provided free of charge by BNSSG CCG for patients registered at Downend Health Group. It can be accessed on a Smartphone or on the Web and guides you day-by-day through a sequence of exercises and tips to help you get better from a range of new or recurrent musculoskeletal conditions:
Lower back pain, Back and leg pain, Neck pain, Shoulder pain, Ankle Pain, Knee Pain Soft tissue limb pain
You may be referred to the App by one of our GPs or Physio, or you can self-register by clicking the link or image.
The app will also connect you to your local; treatment, healthcare providers or support services if needed like Physiotherapy
