Flu Vaccinations 2022

Drug and Syringe
We are currently making plans for our 2022 Autumn Flu campaign. We will advertise more information on this page as soon as our vaccine delivery has been confirmed and appointment slots have been scheduled.
It is important to us that our patients use our vaccination services. Please support your local practice by booking your flu vaccination with Downend Health Group.

We are able to vaccinate all adults eligible for the free NHS flu vaccine, as well as children born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2019 and children who are at a higher risk from flu because of an underlying medical condition, such as severe asthma or a weakened immune system. We are not able to vaccinate the remaining school-aged children in the area, as they will be vaccinated at their school before the end of January.

If you are not a registered patient with Downend Health Group, we can't, unfortunately offer you the flu vaccination. We recommend you contact your own GP practice or your local pharmacy.

What is Flu?

Flu (Influenza), is a highly infectious virus with symptoms that come on very quickly, and which in some circumstances can be very severe. The flu vaccine is a safe and effective vaccine. It is offered free of charge to at risk patients, to help protect them from the flu virus and it's complications.
